Our Cairns outdoor event venue sets the stage to create some memorable moments. Our carefully curated gardens are comprised of several distinct event spaces, which can be booked separately for smaller events, or take the entire space for larger groups.
Mulgrave Gardens guarantees privacy, set as it on a 12-acre private property. The 4 x 7m Balinese Hut is a central feature of the garden. Surrounded by manicured lawns and lush, tropical plantings, the hut has raised timber floors and imported Balinese thatching on the roof. It’s open on 3 sides to enjoy the natural breezes and has a large timber centre table with matching chairs.
The Peaceful Pond Pergola is another space, perfect for informal gatherings. The shade-house roof spans a pond populated with Wakin Goldfish and guppies, surrounded by ferns, bromeliads and many, lush leaved species. There’s a delightful bridge crossing the pond and open gardens either side.

Mulgrave Gardens is a council approved and licensed venue, with all appropriate amenities and insurances in place to host corporate events. We’re a mains road accessible, private property, about a 30-minute drive south from Cairns. Plenty of off-street parking is available and we’re also able to accommodate coaches.
Our garden is a lush tropical space, which is manicured to provide comfortable corporate event spaces. It’s a landscape of colour, changing throughout the year with different flowers and fruit, including frangipani, flame trees, six species of mango, rambutans, mangosteens, black sapote, sour sop, tamarind, the monstera deliciosa (whose leaves inspired our logo) and more.
Licensed for live music, dance floors can be set-up on the manicured lawns, adjacent to the Balinese Hut. Marquees, tables, chairs and other event requirements can all be accommodated on site. Catering companies are welcome, with mains power and water provided. You’re welcome to choose your own styling, suppliers and theme.
